For a number of years Peter Rollins has been developing and running a course entitled “Atheism for Lent.” This is a Lenten practice in which a group tarries with some of the greatest, most perceptive criticisms and critiques of God, religion, and faith.
In order to bring this to the next level (or raise the ABV) Peter is joining forces with Tripp Fuller to provide an in-depth, intensive, and hopefully entertaining version of the practice – High Gravity style. In the class we will read and discuss David Hume, Karl Marx, Ludwig Feuerbach, Friedrich Nietzsche, Sigmund Freud, Mary Daly, and Thomas Altizer.
The class is just 30 bucks & includes PDFs of the reading, an online discussion forum, video streaming and convo during each Live session, audio download of each class, & the possibility of Tripp & Pete cuddling on video.
If you missed the Radical Theology class we did last summer you can now download the audio for your enjoyment!
How the Class Works
Each week we will gather online for a video class session. They will be 90 minutes each and include an intro lecture on the thinker of the week, Pete and Tripp conversing, and then some Q & R. Last time the chat room during each session was pretty awesome so we will be looking forward to interacting through out. They will start at 6pm (pst) / 9pm (est).
For each week you will be able to download a PDF of our reading & post any questions, comments, and such in advance of our session.
After each session you will be able to download the audio of the session and listen every Lent the rest of your life… or in traffic this year.
