New Sincerity, Learning to Love Mark Driscoll, and More On Gun Control

January 29, 2013 by Deacon Jordan 1 Comment

Today’s guest is Jonathan Fitzgerald, editor of Patrol and Not Your Mother’s Morals: How the New Sincerity is Changing Pop Culture for the Better. Jonathan explains the philosophy of New Sincerity, discussing the impact Christianity has had on the movement, and why, even if it’s temporary, we should enjoy it while it lasts. It’s a really nice conversation.

Later, the Reverend Amy Piatt sits in like an overexcited Robin Quivers, and Christian and Jordan discuss the troll-like qualities of Mark Driscoll, eventually finding things to love about the guy. Then there’s more gun control, and an all-entertainer Antichrist of the Week.
