3 Ganders from the Wild Goose!

July 6, 2012 by Tripp Fuller 3 Comments

The Wild Goose Festival was freaking amazing!

I love North Carolina, I love camping, I love seeing so many progressive Christians together, and I love the many conversations throughout the festival.  There are a ton of great posts by people who weren’t running Vacation Bible School the week after the goose.  Steve Knight has collected awesome ones here.

My favorite posts were by Jana Riess and Cathleen Falsani, so check them out… BUT if you really want to know what Wild Goose is all about check out this review from Glenn Beck’s The Blaze (priceless!).

NOW… here are the three conversations I had at the Goose that will make you ‘gander’ theologically!

  1. A question… Is Capitalism a good or bad thing for the Gospel? An awesome attendee at the first live podcast posed this question and all sorts of awesomeness ensued.  You shall hear it soon!
  2. A Praise… While taking a shower I got a shout out from a 7 year old!  During Wild Goose I got to play some music with cheesy motions for the kids with some youth from my church.  The kids tent was awesome and I can’t wait to bring Elgin to an entire festival soon.  I am all down for singing and dancing but shout outs in the buff may be a bit much.
  3. A story…about the Homebrewed Christianity Podcast bringing a family together.  You can hear the story at the beginning of this week’s TNT podcast.

The comments section at Mr. Beck's shop were particularly interesting.
