The authority of the Catholic churches (Roman, Orthodox, Eastern Rite) did NOT come from discourse. Discourse was indeed the method by which the Apostles and their successors learned- but the AUTHORITY came from CHRIST, The Word of God, not from scripture which is not the word of God. 2. The lack of respect for the bias of the Apostles, and for the Church they created. Emergence is doing great things, but I don't understand why they don't see that the option to the mistakes of making the Bible into an Idol- is Catholicism. Two big mistakes biasing this book:
