Elgin’s Presidential Endorsement

November 3, 2008 by Tripp Fuller 3 Comments

After much contemplation Elgin has decided to endorse Barack Obama for president. He told me that it was the 18 million uninsured children in America and Obama’s plan to change that which pushed him over the edge in his endorsement. Of course he does enjoy prestigious company like Colin Powell, but it was perhaps former president Bill Clinton that put his thoughts into words (something he hasn’t started using yet). Go to the polls, if you are voting for Obama. If you are voting for McCain Elgin suggests you avoid the traffic and spend the day with your children.

Elgin is smarter than many small town under-paid white Americans who, though they would benefit from Obama’s tax and health care plan, will mindlessly pull the lever for McCain anyway because he looks like the kind of American they are not afraid of.

Elgin is on the right track. I voted for Obama on Tuesday. Was there for 2 hours but thanks to the kindness of people behind me and the people working the polls, I was able to sit until my turn to vote. People can be so kind. Elgin is the most handsome little boy I have ever seen. I wish I could pick him up and sqeeze him to let him know how much I love him. When he is old enough please tell him about the old woman in Winston who loves him dearly. Hope he will begin saying Mama and Daddy soon. Enjoy your lives and love each other dearly as you would God.
