Brian McLaren joins us for Faith and Politics part 3: Homebrewed Christianity ep.29

October 22, 2008 by Tripp Fuller 3 Comments

Brain McLaren joins us again.  Last time he brought us some Easter fire and this time instead of focusing on God’s New Creation that broke into being through Jesus’ resurrected life he tackled some other topics of smaller consequence.

He will discuss the bail out package, his new book ‘Finding our way again,’ the ‘Everything Must Change‘ tour, Bill Maher‘s new movie ‘Religulous,’ how troublesome Christian radio is, voting, and how a new kind of Christian thinks about selecting a president.

McLaren’s Obama endoresment blogs: 1,2,3,4

Check out the Matthew 25 Network

PS: We do not really think our caller was speaking as an actual representative of anyone, even himself, but it was pretty funny to me.  Ohhh and then there is some old school McLaren music at the end of the episode. Enjoy!!!!!!  Get your Homebrewed Gear Here!!!!!

The “caller” is “Pastor Deacon Fred at Landover Baptist Church” – a satirical site with hilarious videos and other links. See http://www.landoverbaptist.org/ .
